- Moderate G2 Geomagnetic Storm (KP6-) with displays down to Middle Latitudes
Northern Lights seen over Scotland, BBC In-Pictures report
- Auroral very bright at the apparent peak of the display and reaching zenith (around 20:00hUT).

Norwegian magnetometer readings appear to suggest the actual peak of the storm may have occured 2-3 hours later (around 22:30-23:30 hUT). Despite poor sky views at this time due to snow showers and cloud,  the all sky images from my site don't seem to confirm this later peak.
- Observation of display punctuated by clouds and frequent snow shower events (the latter saturate 30s exposures and bring new meaning to the term 'white out conditions')
- Images variously affected by melting snow / water drops on lens cover and associated light artefacts

Original data from Tromsų Geophysical Observatory (TGO), DTU Space (Technical University of Denmark) and Finnish Meteorological Institute (FMI, displayed on SpaceWeatherLive http://www.spaceweatherlive.com/en/auroral-activity/magnetometers).

Note: Geomagnetometer activity at rvk (Rorvik, 64.95N), dob (Dombas, 62.07N), sol (Solund, 61.08N) and kar (Karmoy, 59.21N) stations are used as indicators for potential auroral activity that may be visible from my Observatory situated at latitude 57.32N  (Map of Stations)
