Bullet Astrometric & Photometric Monitoring
- HD 5501/5513 (eclipsing variables)
- SS Cyg (dwarf novae)
- BL Lac (BL Lac blazer)
- U And (Mira variables)
- Z And, T Tau (variables)
- Ross 248/HH And, Groombridge 34, HIP 3829 (Nearby Stars)
- 8.4 hr session, largely operated under automated control
- CCD operation of -25 degC (at 72% average cooling). .
- main objective was to acquire an image mosaic of part of the North American Nebula (NGC 7000) as a prelude to a future mosaic imaging project in 2007.
- the other main objectives where to acquire images of specific variables stars and a current nova in M31 as part of ongoing photometric studies.
- opportunity was also taken to acquire images of certain deep sky objects and to obtain various follow-up images of current comets and nearby stars for astrometric analysis.

M31 - Extragalactic Nova : M31 2006 14

M31 part (Andromeda)
An extragalactic nova (M31 2006 14) was discovered in M31 on 2006/11/25.468
by Koichi Itagak, with an apparent magnitude of +17.5
(Extragalactic Novae page at Rochester Supernova site | Discovery Image | Reference: 2006-11a)

Image below (2006-12-08.85) was taken 13.4 days after discovery.
Location of object, shown by white marker, is consistent with nova recorded by K.Itagaki
Estimated magnitude (+16.0) is distinctly brighter than in earlier image (+17.1). Limiting mag of image +17.5
