An extragalactic nova (M31 2006 14) was discovered in M31 on 2006/11/25.468
by Koichi Itagak, with an apparent magnitude of +17.5 
(Extragalactic Novae page at Rochester Supernova site | Discovery Image | Reference: 2006-11a)

Image below (2006-12-17.92) shows the nova object (shown by white marker) 
Estimated magnitude +17.0 . Limiting Mag +17.5
