Bullet Astrometric & Photometric Monitoring
- SS Cyg, U Gem (dwarf nova)
- BL Lac (Blazar)
- W And  (mira variables)
- CY Lyr, TZ Lyr, TT Ari, RZ LMi, RX And  (variables)
- RU Peg, DY Per (variables)
- Gliese 725 (Nearby Stars)
- Evening session (7.0hr).  Poor transparency
- Problem performing automated short mapping job using new TPoint Model.  Manually controlled mapping was required instead.
- CCD operation of -25 degC (at 68% average cooling).
- -main objectives were to acquire images of certain selected stars of ongoing photometric and astrometric analysis, and follow up images of comet 8P/Tuttle
-opportunity was also taken to acquire gallery images of certain deep sky objects, including open clusters in Cepheus

NGC 7094 - Planetary Nebula (attempt)

This is apparently one of the most challenging planetary nebulae to observe in the NGC catalogue. Attempts to image NGC 7094 were made in 2004 and again in this session in 2007 with 8" LX200 and CCD Camera (see below). Although the mag +13.6 central star could be easily seen, the planetary nebula could not be detected in images of 6 minutes total exposure time.

NGC 7094 (Pegasus)
Central star is indicated by white cross-hairs,
but no sign of the nebula can be seen in this image

2007 XH16 - Near Earth Asteroid (NEA) / Minor Planet

2007 XH16 is a 565m diameter asteroid which is due to pass by the earth on 2007-12-24 at a distance of 8.1 lunar distance (LD).
A sequence of images of 2007 XH16 were recorded streaking through a star field in Eridanus.
(More images of 2007 XH16 from 2007-12-24/25 at near closest approach)
