M93 - Open Cluster M46 - Open Cluster M47 - Open Cluster C/2007 N3 (Lulin) - Comet 144P/Kushida - Comet NGC 3242 - Planetary Nebula NGC 1555 - Reflection Nebula M66 - Spiral Galaxy M68 - Globular Cluster M104 - Spiral Galaxy (Sombrero Galaxy) Astrometric & Photometric Monitoring - U Gem (dwarf nova)
- U And, W And (mira variables)
- Z And, RZ LMi (variables)
- Evening session (6.7 hrs), PEC Training attempt followed by operation largely under automated control - Ambient Temperature initially 7 deg C, falling to 1 deg C after 2 hours , then gradually rising to 3 degC by of session as cloud developed. - CCD operation -25 degC (at 64% average cooling). - main objective of the session was to acquire images of key selected stars for ongoing photometric and astrometric analysis. - opportunity taken to acquire images of comet Lulin - main objective of the session was to further refine performance of new LX200R telescope under night sky conditions, take images of selected project stars for photometric analysis, and collect images of certain deep sky objects - - Notes from 2009-03-21
