Bullet M79 - Globular Cluster
Bullet NGC 6246 - Spiral Galaxy & SN 2009kp
Bullet Photometric Monitoring - Variables
- U And, W And, Z And, TT Ari, HR Aur, KR Aur, CI Cyg, SS Cyg, BL Lac, FU Ori, NV Ori, RR Tau
- TimeSeries XO-2
Bullet Astrometric Monitoring - Nearby Stars

- Evening/night session (8.4 hr).
- Operated under semi-automated control with remote monitoring
- Ambient Temperature:  Initially 4.0 degC falling to 0.5 degC minimum
- CCD operation -25 degC (at 55% average cooling).
- main objective of the session was to record a time-series of XO-2 with the hope of detecting transit of exoplanet XO-2b.  Sky conditions were jnear perfect and realtime monitoring confirmed that the expected dip in XO-2 magnitude occurred through the predicted transit window
- opportunity taken at beginning of session to acquire images of key selected stars for ongoing photometric and astrometric analysis.

XO-2b Exoplanet Transit

XO-2b Transit,  2009-11-08
 Normal Differential Magnitudes
Time Series graphs showing normalised differential magnitudes  (exaggerated scales)
Blue dots at datavalues  associated with individual frames whilst yellow dots are a moving average
Whilst data scatter (+/-0.032m to +/-0.018m) is larger than the expected  transit depth (0.015 mag),
the overall dip in XO-2 brightness through the transit window is still noticeable.

Notes describing the preparation, recording and analysis of the XO-2b Exoplanet Transit
