- Evening session (6.2 hr). Moderate conditions cold
- Session operated under semi-automated control with remote monitoring
- Ambient Temperature:  Unstable: Initial 4 degC falling to 0.0 degC then climbed to f2.5 degC, falling to 0.5 degC, then climbing 4.5 deg before end of session
- CCD operation -25 degC (at 62% average cooling).  
- main objective of the session was to acquire images of key selected stars for ongoing photometric and astrometric analysis. 
- opportunity taken to acquire images of a number of deep sky objects

PGC 69457 - Galaxy with Gravitational  Lensed Quasar (Einstein's Cross)

PGC 69457 (Pegasus) 
Star-field showing the lensing galaxy PGC 69457.
PGC 69457 is located at a distance of 400 million light years, whilst the quasar 
sitting behind the foreground galaxy is located about 8 billion light years from Earth

PGC 69457 - detail
Resolution (even at 1x1 binning) is not sufficient to show the 
gravititional lensed detail of the background quasar (Einstein's Cross) through 12" scope.
However it is probable that some of the photons recorded by image are 
from the distant quasar
