C/2016 R2 (PANSTARRS) - Comet     Z And - Variable Star (Type ZAND)     NGC 6426 - Globular Cluster (Herschel II-587) NGC 6755 - Open Cluster (Herschel VII-19)     Photometric Monitoring - Variables     - RX And, U And, Z And, TT Ari, CI Cyg,     BL Lac, CY Lyr, DY Per, GK Per, ER UMa   SS Her attempt failed due to CCD frosting     Astrometric Monitoring - Nearby Stars   - Ross 248 (And HH), 61 Cyg, Groombridge 34, Teegardens Star

- Night Session (4.1 hours duration). - Fully Automated operation  (Session was monitored remotely from indoors to observe and intervene if required). - Main aim of the session was to acquire images of a selection of variable stars, nearby stars, star clusters and deep sky targets. Secondary aims were to test transfer and reporting of AllSky Cloud Measurements for current and next targets, and confirm other code was working as expected. - - 12" LX200 + ST-10XME for imaging - TS 80mm APO + ZWO ASI178MC for guiding - Ambient Temperature:  6°C (minimum) - CCD Temperature:  -15°C (77% av. power) & -20°C (85% av. power) - Notes from 2018-08-23 >>

C/2016 R2 (PANSTARRS) - Comet

C/2016 R2 (PANSTARRS) (passing through Ursa Major) Sun distance 2.84 AU, Est. Mag +15.8. The tiny galaxy at below left is PGC 2393752, catalog mag +17.4)

C/2016 R2 (PANSTARRS) - Earlier Image (2017-12-13) (passing through Gemini) Sun distance 3.02 AU (Bright object in upper-left corner of the image is the +7.2 mag star HIP 22221)

Z And - Variable Star (Type ZAND)

Z And (Andromeda) N/W Offsets (W 3.5', N -3.7' for Z And) are now being correctly imported and applied in order to get both the variable star and the associated check & comparison stars all within the same frame

Z And - Previous Image (2018-07-25) N/W offsets held in the Targets Database where not correctly  imported with the Observing Plan and caused the images to centre Z And  within the frame but not contain the necessary comparison stars
