Objects Session Notes
UGC 118 & PGC 212483 - Spiral Galaxies with Supernova AT2019B 38P/Stephan-Oterma - Comet NGC 2251 - Open Cluster (H VIII-3) Photometric Monitoring - Variables - None
Astrometric Monitoring - Nearby Stars - None
- Evening Session, Duration 3.6 hr
Session operated in fully automated mode, but monitored over remote connection.
- Main aim of the session was to take advantage of some clear evening skies before cloud was forecast to roll in at 22:00 or 23:00 hrs - 12" LX200 + ST-10XME for imaging - TS 80mm APO + ZWO ASI178MC for guiding & imaging - Ambient Temperature: 4.0°C (minimum) - CCD Temperature: -20°C (68% av. power) - Notes from 2019-02-06 >>
UGC 118 / NGC 42 & PGC 212483 with AT2019B (Pegasus) AT2019B TNS discovered 2019/01/01.250 by All Sky Automated Survey for SuperNovae (ASAS-SN) (Rochester Supernova site | Discovery Image | SN Type is unknown ) The Rochester site implies that the SN might be associated with UGC 118, but another strong possibility is that it is associated with the closer lying PGC 212483 SN is shown in the image below (2019-02-06.822) was taken 36.6 days after discovery |
