Session operated in fully automated mode, with minimal monitoring.

- Main aim of the session was general observing with mix of variable stars, nearby stars, comets and deep sky targets. 
   
- 12" LX200 + ST-10XME for imaging
- TS 80mm APO + ZWO ASI178MC for guiding & imaging
- Ambient Temperature:  8.0°C (min), outdoors, 10.0°C (min), observatory
- CCD Temperature:  -15°C  (75% av. power)

NGC 6835 - Spiral Galaxy

This object (a nice edge on spiral galaxy) was imaged by accident. The planned target was the open cluster NGC 6885 (H VIII-20), but had been entered as NGC 6835 in my Targets database.

Only when viewed with a spectral grating can IC 5217's planetary nebula characteristics be recognised
Compare spectra of IC 5217 (with two main emission lines)
with the broad emission spectra of a normal star
