CCD Images - Session 715 (2019-10-25)

Objects Session Notes
Bullet C/2017 T2 (PanStarrs) - Comet
Bullet NGC 985 - Spiral Galaxy

  - C/2019 Q4 (Borisov), NGC 1614, NGC 3279, NGC 3454, NGC 3455, UGC 4596 & SHK-1 attempts failed due to cloud

Bullet Variable Stars (photometric monitoring)
  - RX And, U And, Z And, S Cyg, BL Lac

- TT Ari, SY Cnc, SS Cyg, U Gem, RZ LMi, CN Ori, FO Ori, FU Ori, NV Ori, RR Tau, SU Tau and ER UMa attempts failed due to cloud

Bullet Nearby Stars (astrometric monitoring)
 - HH And, 61 Cyg, Groombridge 34, Teegardens Star,

- DX Cnc, CN Ori, LAMOST-HVS1 & Scholz's Star attempts failed due to cloud

- Full night session (9.8 hours)

Session operated with remote monitoring for first 2 hours.
Sky effectively clouded over after 3 hours and session should have been suspended, but this was high cloud and was not readily picked up by the Cloud Sensor (clarity values didn't drop below 28) .

- Main aim of the session was to test automated SharpCap imaging capture and integration with AstroMain /PHD2 and acquire selection of targets

- 12" LX200 + ST-10XME for imaging
- TS 80mm APO + ZWO ASI178MC for guiding & imaging
- Ambient Temperature:  Falling from 2°C to  1°C (min), before climbing to 4°C due to developing cloud.
(Dew heaters on new automated control)
- CCD Temperature:  -20°C  (61% av. power)
