PGC 2121 - Dwarf Spheroidal Galaxy (Andromeda III), Local Group - 2.9 mly

PGC 2121 (Cassiopeia) Andromeda III (LG) And III, wasn't discovered until by Sidney van der Bergh found it on photographic plates taken in 1970 and 1971 with the Palomar 48-inch (1.2-meter) Schmidt telescope Galaxy is not readily visible in images below, position shown by white circle. Image taken when Moon was at 57% phase (altitude 9.6 deg, separation 56 deg)
