Bullet FU Ori - FU Type Variable
Bullet Astrometric & Photometric Monitoring
- SS Cyg, U Gem (dwarf nova)
- BL Lac (Blazar)
- U And, W And (Mira Variables)
- DY Per, ER UMa, KR Aur, SY Cnc, U Mon, RR Tau (variables)
- RX And, Z And, RZ LMi, FU Ori (variables)

- Late evening session (4.1hr).
- CCD operation of -25 degC (at 61% average cooling).
- main objectives were a) to acquire images of certain selected stars of ongoing photometric and astrometric analysis, in particular Z And & SS Cyg, and b) record follow-up images of 2 supernovae in NGC 2770.
- polar misalignment issue introduced at the start of previous session is causing star trailing in exposures of 2-3 minutes. Cloud at the end of the session prevented a quantitative  Star Drift examination of the polar misalignment

NGC 2770 - Spiral Galaxy & Supernovae 2007uy and 2008D

NGC 2770 (Lynx) with SN 2007uy and 2008D
2007uy (Type 1b) was discovered 2007/12/31.669 by Yoji Hirose
Magnitude at discovery was  +17.2 (C filter).
(Rochester Supernova site | Discovery Image | Reference Image)

2008D (Type 1c) was discovered 2008/01/11.42
by Lick Observatory Supernova Search
Magnitude at discovery was  +17.5 (C filter).
(Rochester Supernova site | Discovery Image | Reference Image)

Image below (2008-01-16.11) was taken 16.3 days after discovery of SN 2007uy
Estimated magnitude of 2007uy  is  +14.8 (C filter).
2008D  is too faint to measure a magnitude
