- Light Pillars in NNE -NE Sky (Peterhead direction), lasting for 40 minutes between 22:30 and 23:10h GMT (UT). - Light Pillars were stationary and are thought to be due to reflection of street/port lights off flat, hexagon-shaped ice crystals in the sky - (light pillar compilation at http://www.mymodernmet.com/profiles/blogs/light-pillar-compilation )
