CCD Session S00083 Notes from CCD Session Moon MPL 8 Flora - Minor Planet NGC 2371 - Planetary Nebula (Double Bubble Nebula) NGC 3227 / 3226 - Galaxy Pair Saturn - poor seeing
- 2 hour imaging session in which the main
aim was to record crescent Moon.
- seeing was particularly poor, making it very difficult to achieve optimal
focus and impossible to record any decent pictures. Problem is highlighted by the sequence of images of Saturn.
- this was the first imaging session since early January - this was mainly due
to almost continuous cloud cover, together with knock on issues associated with
losing the observatory roof during a storm in mid January (80 mph winds) ,and a
later hard disk crash on laptop.
