Barnard's Star Astrometric & Photometric Monitoring
- SS Cyg (Dwarf Nova)
- U Her (Mira variable)
- BL Lac (Blazar)
- 61 Cyg, Gliese 1245, Groombridge 34, HH And (Nearby Stars)
Attemps also at Z And, U And, W And
- Session duration 2.0 hr - CCD operation of -15 degC (at 54% average cooling). . - main objective was to acquire images Venus at 38% phase, but unfortunately the planet had descended below the edge of the observatory and imaging was consequently not possible - secondary objective was to acquire images of selected variable stars and nearby stars for ongoing photometric and astrometric monitoring. - opportunity was taken to update PEC training on LX200 telescope. A future session will establish whether an improvement in PEC has been made or not. - More Notes -
