- Barnard's Star, 61 Cyg (Nearby Stars)
- Session duration 5.2 hr, largely operated under automated control with remote monitoring.
- CCD operation of -20 degC (at 65% average cooling). .Coldest night of season to date.
- main objectives were to acquire images of selected variable stars for ongoing photometry, and then perform a TPoint Mapping (106 points)
- in the eventopportunity was taken to acquire follow up images of Supernova 2007hj in NGC 7461 and images of M1 and Hind's Variable Nebula (T Taurii)

NGC 4036 - Spiral Galaxy with Supernova 2007gi

NGC 4036 (Ursa Major) with SN 2007gi
2007gi is a Type 1a Supernova discovered 2007/07/31.49 by Koichi Itagaki
at mag +16.3, and has brightened significantly through early August.
(Rochester Supernova site | Discovery Image | Reference Image)

Image below (2007-09-14.89) was taken 45 days after discovery.
Estimated magnitude of 2007gi  is  ~ +14 (C filter).

WASP-1 (GSC 2265:107) - Parent Star to Exosolar Planet

Sequence of some 155 images taken (60s exposures, R Filter), in an attempt to detect a exoplanet forecast. Magnitude dip is known to be only 0.011 mag and therefore it was not expected that the transit would be detectable, but tnevertheless the observing run was expected to be good practice for future exoplanet transit detections with more favourable systems (brigher star and/or larger transit depth).

WASP-1  (GSC 2265:107) (Andromeda)
3 hour total exposure records stars down to +16.7 in R
