Objects Session Notes
SU UMa - Cataclysmic Variable Saturn Astrometric & Photometric Monitoring
- SS Cyg, U Gem (Dwarf Nova)
- BL Lac (Blazar)
- U And, W And (Mira variables)
- ER UMa, SU UMa, Z And (variables)
- Gliese 412, Groombridge 1618, Groombridge 1830 (Nearby Stars)
- morning session (2.8 hr) just before dawn. Fairly cold, ground frost. CCD operation of -20 degC (at 60% average cooling). - main objective of the session was to acquire a further image of the current comet C/2007 (LONEOS), however the dawn light became too bright comet by the time the comet rose above my observatory wall. - opportunity was also taken to acquire images of selected stars for ongoing astrometric and photometric monitoring
