Objects Session Notes
NGC 5829 - Spiral Galaxy with Supernova 2008B AD Leo - UV Ceti Type Variable Astrometric & Photometric Monitoring
- U Gem (dwarf nova)
- U Her (mira variable)
- SY Cnc, KR Aur (variables)
- RZ LMi, ER UMa (variables)
- Attempts made to image SS Cyg, Gliese 725, CN Leo but affected by cloud
- Early morning session (3.4hr). Collected Dawn Flats at end of session - CCD operation of -20 degC (at 62% average cooling). - main objectives were to acquire images of certain selected stars of ongoing photometric and astrometric analysis, in particular U Her - opportunity was taken to acquire image of recently discovered supernova 2008b in NGC 5829 and acquire baseline images of AD Leo (a UV Ceti type flare star)
