Objects Session Notes
FO And - variable star (Type UGSU) HR Aur - variable star (Type CWB) MPL 2003 UB313 (Attempt) Astrometric & Photometric Monitoring - SS Cyg (dwarf nova)
- BL Lac (blazar)
- FO And, RX And, Eps Aur, KR Aur, Zet Aur, CY Lyr, DY Per, FG Sge, U Sge, V Sge, WZ Sge (variables)
- Evening session (4.4 hrs). - Ambient Temperature 0 degC falling to -3 degC (minimum). - CCD operation of -30 degC
(at 73% average cooling).- main objective of the session was to acquire images of key selected stars for ongoing photometric and astrometric analysis. - an attempt was made to image MPL 2003 UB313 (Eris), but a 14 x 3 minute exposure (mag limit +17.6), just failed to capture Eris (catalog mag +18.6)

2003 UB313 Attempt Predicted Position of 2003 UB313 is shown within white circle. Due to relatively low altitude (+26 deg) and accompanying high airmass/haze the deepest magnitude reached in this exposure is c. +17.6 and thus prevented being able to see 2003 UB 313 at a predicted magnitude of +18.6 magnitude |
