P/2014 L2 (NEOWISE) - Comet NGC 201 - Spiral Galaxy NGC 2771 - Spiral Galaxy with Supernova ASASSN-14iu NGC 7673 - Spiral Galaxy UGC 8331 - Irregular Galaxy (M51 Group) (Attempt) UGC 11919 - Spiral Galaxy - C2014 E2 (Jacques) attempt failed (due to poor seeing) Variable Stars (photometric monitoring) - RX And, U And, W And, Z And, TT Ari, CI Cyg, SS Cyg, S Cyg, U Gem, AM Her, BL Lac, CN Ori, CZ Ori, FO Ori, FU Ori, NV Ori, RU Peg, DY Per, GK Per, FG Sge, U Sge, V Sge, WZ Sge Nearby Stars (astrometric monitoring) - Ross 248 (HH And), 61 Cyg, Groombridge 34, EV Lac, Teegradens Star
- Evening session (5.2 hrs duration). - Session operated under semi-automated control, with remote monitoring from indoors computer. - Ambient Temperature: 0.5°C minimum - CCD operation -25°C (at 62% average cooling). - main objectives of the session was to monitor selected variable stars & nearby stars and to take gallery images of a range of deep sky objects. (Poor sky conditions & moonlight hindered attempts to get any good images) - -

NGC 2771 with supernova ASASSN-14iu (Ursa Major) ASASSN-14iu (Type Ia, z=0.016855) was discovered 2014/10/12.610 by All Sky Automated Survey for SuperNovae (ASAS-SN) at magnitude +15.8 Located 1.3" west and 0.8" north of the center of NGC 2771 (Rochester Supernova site | Discovery Image ) The image below was taken 26.4 days after discovery The supernova position is indicated by white markers. The image is unable to resolve the Supernova separately to the galaxy centre. The combined measured brightness of supernova + galaxy center is +13.1 |
