Objects Session Notes
Jupiter - Planet Photometric Monitoring - Variables - None Astrometric Monitoring - Nearby Stars - None
- Night Session (2 hrs duration).
Clear skies, low wind.- Session operated from within observatory - Main aims of the session was to test automated acquisition of images of a sequence of targets (Plan) that have been scheduled by a newly developed genetic algorithum optimisation program working with target data held in SQLite, and to acquire images of Jupiter and selected other objects.
In the event computer/software issues (POTH, telescope connection, CCDSoft freezing) prevented the execution of the planned computer generated observing plan.
