Objects Session Notes
C/2018 Y1 (Iwamoto) - Comet LBV2019abn - LBV in M51 M51 - Spiral Galaxy (Whirlpool Galaxy) Photometric Monitoring - Variables - TV Cas, RZ LMi, RR Leo, ER UMa
Astrometric Monitoring - Nearby Stars - None
- Evening - Night Session, Duration 8.2hr
Session operated in fully automated mode, but monitored in part over a remote connection.
Sky conditions moderate (bright sky due to moon) Significant dew midway into session
- Main aim of the session was to acquire some light curve data for several variables over the course of a few hours with aim of detecting variation associated with eclipsing binary stars , RR Lyr stars and dwarf nova, and acquire images of new comet C/2018 Y1 (Iwamoto) - 12" LX200 + ST-10XME for imaging - TS 80mm APO + ZWO ASI178MC for guiding & imaging - Ambient Temperature: 4°C (minimum), 9.5°C (maximum) - CCD Temperature: -15 / 69% av. power) - Notes from 2019-02-20 >>
