UGC 10909 - Spiral Galaxy (PGC 60514) Variable Stars (photometric monitoring) - None Nearby Stars (astrometric monitoring) - None
- Short evening session (0.5 hours) - Main aims of the session were the acquisition of a selection of variable star, nearby star and comet targets and deep sky targets before expected cloud arrived. - 12" LX200 + ST-10XME for imaging - TS 80mm APO + ZWO ASI178MC for guiding & imaging - Ambient Temperature: 6°C (min) - CCD Temperature: -15°C - Notes from 2020-12-17 >> -
UGC 10909 (Hercules) Alias: PGC 60514 (catalog mag +15.6) Poor quality image due to poor sky conditions / developing cloud. Target to be re-scheduled for a future session. |

UGC 10909 - Detail, 2020-12-17 Attempted image of AT2020abkz (Type: unknown) a candidate SN discovered 2020/12/01.625 UT by Gaia ( Rochester Supernova site ) No indication of any transient object in seen in image below (as compared to DSS2 image in Aladin) but image is poor due to poor skies conditions with poor transparency & developing cloud (only 2 frames out of 5 frames taken were usable) |
