C/2017 K2 (PANSTARRS) - Comet NGC 6701 - Spiral Galaxy with Transient AT 2022nxe NGC 6745 - Spiral Galaxy with Type IIn Supernova 2022prr NGC 6888 - Nebula (Caldwell 27) - C/2021 O3 (PANSTARRS) attempt failed (due to failed guiding/lost star) Variable Stars (photometric monitoring) - RX And, Z And, SS Cyg, BL Lac Nearby Stars (astrometric monitoring) - HH And, 61 Cyg, Groombridge 34, EV Lac
- All night session (3.9 hours) - A number of targets were affected by poor image guiding due to PHD2 autoselecting very faint guide stars, with SNR as low as 4-5 which were too easily lost (fixed mid-session by setting minimum guide star SNR to 50). - 12" LX200 + ST-10XME for imaging - TS 80mm APO + ZWO ASI178MC for guiding & imaging - Ambient Temperature: 7°C (min) - CCD Temperature: -10°/-15°C - Notes from 2022-08-04 >>

Annotated CCD Image (150% size, square root scale) 4 x 180s exposure (average combine), 3x3 binning, Clear Filter 2022-08-05 01:32 UT (#1024075-78) 12" LX200R (at f/10.4) + ST-10XME Auto-guided using TS 80mm APO, ZWO ASI178MC & PHD2 |
NGC 6701 - Reference Image Magenta cross-hairs drawn at the coordinates of AT 2022nxe Apart from the bright arm on the galaxy the reference image doesn't appear to any obvious object at the AT 2022nxe coordinates Transient is therefore consider to be confirmed. The TNS 2022nxe web page still shows the object type as 'Unknown' as of 2022-08-10. |
