Imaging Notes and Experience, CCD Session S00002 FWHM Analysis of Double-Double Image Deconvolution processing of Double-Double Image > Images from CCD Session 2
An 8 second exposure of Double-Double in Lyra (#2014) was analysed. It showed a FWHM for the entire image of around 4 arc sec. The binary components of each of the 2 main stars could not be resolved with this seeing, however their presence can be detected from the abnormally large FWHM of around 8 arc secs for both of these stars.

Original image of an 8 second exposure of Double-Double in Lyra (#2014) showed no indication of the binary components of each of the 2 main stars due to poor seeing (FWHM of around 4 arc secs). Their presence can be detected by abnormally large FWHM values for the 2 main stars of around 8 arc secs (see above) and by deconvolution :

A series of Richardson-Lucy processing runs were made with different parameters before deciding that the right hand image above gave the most information about the Double-Double.
