- During geomagnetic storm on 2023-03-23 / 2023-03-24 a particular feature like a moving tsunami wave was noted passing over zenith.
This was originally interpreted to be part of the aurora display.
Whilst briefly considered to also be a contrail, this was dismissed as its appearance didn't corrrespond to the passage of any visible aircraft and its direction of movement (southwards) was opposite to the direction in which clouds were moving (northwards)-

2023-03-28 05:05 UT Contrail continuing to move southwards (several satellite tracks visible) |
2023-03-28 05:15 UT Contrail still visible 30 minutes after formation. |
