Pictures Videos Summary Plot Magnetometer Stack Plots (for reference)

- Nice aurora display close to northern horizon starting around 20:30h UT (21:30h BST) and appearing to peak around 23:30h UT (00:30h BST) with vertical rays reaching to 15-20 deg altitude. Display gradually covered by cloud at 23:45h UT (00:45h BST) and the probable true peak of auroral activity at around 02:00h UT (03:00h BST) was largely missed.  Weaker activity seen through to around 04:30h UT (05:30h BST)  -

Magnetometer Stack Plots from Scandinavia (ordered by latitude) H Component - 2016-10-24 / 2016-10-25 Original data from Tromsø Geophysical Observatory (TGO), DTU Space (Technical University of Denmark) and Finnish Meteorological Institute (FMI, displayed on SpaceWeatherLive http://www.spaceweatherlive.com/en/auroral-activity/magnetometers). Note: Geomagnetometer activity at rvk (Rorvik, 64.95N), dob (Dombas, 62.07N), sol (Solund, 61.08N) and kar (Karmoy, 59.21N) stations are used as indicators for potential auroral activity that may be visible from my Observatory situated at latitude 57.32N  (Map of Stations)
