- Aurora activity on night of 2022-08-17 / 2022-08-18 but unfortunatelly almost entirely hidden by cloud.

- Scandinavia magnetometers indicate very strong (Kp6) activity from 20:10 to 21:30 UT with activity at 3 southern most stations (dob, sol and kar).

- Activity not visible through peak from NE Scotland due to heavy cloud.  A hint of possible activity was seen in NNE sky at 2022-08-18 00:54 UT (21:54 Local) but this is after the scandinavian magnetometer activty had reduced significantly and may have been simply the movement of clouds lit by lights from distant town (Peterhead).

Magnetometer Stack Plots (for reference)

Magnetometer Stack Plots from Scandinavia (ordered by latitude)
H Component - 2022-08-17 / 2022-08-18
Original data from Tromsų Geophysical Observatory (TGO), DTU Space (Technical University of Denmark) and Finnish Meteorological Institute (FMI, displayed on SpaceWeatherLive http://www.spaceweatherlive.com/en/auroral-activity/magnetometers).

Note: Geomagnetometer activity at rvk (Rorvik, 64.95N), dob (Dombas, 62.07N), sol (Solund, 61.08N) and kar (Karmoy, 59.21N) stations are used as indicators for potential auroral activity that may be visible from my Observatory situated at latitude 57.32N  (Map of Stations)
