- Aurora activity visible from NE Scotland on morning of 2022-04-28.
- Scandinavia magnetometers indicate activity building from evening of 2022-04-27 through to small hours of 2022-04-28., with a very short peak at 21:35 UT (2022-04-27) and a longer main peak from 00:30 to 03:00 UT (2022-04-28),
- No activity seen at 21:35 (aurora not visible or lost in twilight sky)
- Activity visible 2022-04-28 00:20 to 02:25 UT (01:20 to 03:25 Local), with peak activity between 00:40 and 01:00 UT (01:40 to 02:00 Local) Aurora arc to 5 deg altitude with rays to 20 deg altitude at peak.- Telescope Images from 2022-04-27 >>

Magnetometer Stack Plots from Scandinavia
(ordered by latitude) H Component - 2022-04-27 / 2022-04-28 Original data from Tromsų Geophysical Observatory (TGO), DTU Space (Technical University of Denmark) and Finnish Meteorological Institute (FMI, displayed on SpaceWeatherLive http://www.spaceweatherlive.com/en/auroral-activity/magnetometers). Note: Geomagnetometer activity at rvk (Rorvik, 64.95N), dob (Dombas, 62.07N), sol (Solund, 61.08N) and kar (Karmoy, 59.21N) stations are used as indicators for potential auroral activity that may be visible from my Observatory situated at latitude 57.32N (Map of Stations) |
