- Auroral activity on the night 2025-11-11 / 2025-11-12 associated with a period of geomagnetic activity up to Kp9 / G4

Skies in NE Scotland were affected by cloud, but there was a break in clouds that allowed view on the initial peak..

Activity was visible on camera images from around 20:50 to 03:15 UT (GMT) with peak around 23:35 to 00:00 UT (GMT).

Observed activity comprised a variety of green aurora and bright red aurora stretching to 40-50° altitude. Interesting green blobs at 01:12 - 01:13 UT (GMT).

Images and video below compare colour images captured by the north facing Tapo C325WB Camera, with the black/white images captured using the existing AllSky Camera at approximately the same time.

Scandinavian magnetometers recorded activity from 00:00 to 05:30 UT with a peak that varied in latitude between 01:00 and 02:30 UT and lasting to 04:00 UT or so.

Lerwick Magnetometer shows activity up to K9.
