Open Clusters

Open clusters are collections of stars, the best known of which is M45 or the Pleiades.

One of one favorites is NGC 6709 in Aquila, with a number of straight chains apparent.

Globular Clusters

Being compact and relatively bright,  globular clusters make good telescope subjects.
