184P/Lovas (passing through Aquarius) Sun Distance 1.70 AU Earth Distance 1.06 AU (159.0 million km) Atttempted observation of comet 184P/Lovas but after checking the image against a DSS2 reference image using Aladdin, it was determined that no indication of the comet was visible at the expected location (circled) and expected magntiude (+15.9) |

Whilst attempting to identify the comet and rule out candidate objects in the vicinity it was noticed that one star was at a slightly different position compared to its position in the DSS2 reference image. The star was determined to be LP 739-36, a high proper motion star |
