2008B is a Type 2 Supernova discovered 2008/01/02.84 by Koichi Itagaki
 at ? mag +16.6

Image below (2008-01-06.26) was taken 3.4 days after discovery. 
Measured magnitude +16.1 (C)

Several adjacent galaxies :
 IC 4526 (catalog mag +15.8), PGC 53720 (catalog mag +16.9),

2007uy (Type 1b) was discovered 2007/12/31.669 by Yoji Hirose
Magnitude at discovery was  +17.2 (C filter).

Image below (2008-01-12.11) was taken 11.4 days after discovery. 
Estimated magnitude of 2007uy  is  +14.8 (C filter). 

NGC 2770 with SN 2007uy and possibly SN 2008D
2008D (Type 1c) was discovered 2008/01/11.42 
by Lick Observatory Supernova Search
Magnitude at discovery was  +17.5 (C filter).

Image below (2008-01-12.11) was taken 16.5 hours after 2008D discovery 
Object at position of 2008D  is too faint to measure a magnitude 
but it appears to be > +16.8

2005 WJ56 passing through star field in Eridanus
2005 WJ56 is a 1.2km  diameter asteroid which passed by the earth on 
2008-01-10 at a distance of 10.9 lunar distance (LD). 
A sequence of images of 2005 WJ56 were recorded as it passed by.

1685 Toro passing through star field in Cetus
1685 Toro is a 6.2km  diameter asteroid which is passing by the earth on 2008-01-24
 at a distance of 76 lunar distance (LD). 
A short sequence of images showed its relatively rapid apparent motion.
