CCD Session S00096
Bullet Notes from CCD Session
Bullet Vega - Star
Bullet RR Lyrae - Variable Star
Bullet Delta Cepheid - Variable Star (Cepheid)
Bullet AXP Monitoring (4U 0142+615 & 1E 2259+586)
Bullet M56 - Globular Cluster

Notes (S00096)

- 2.9 hour session, calm (no wind)
- Sky conditions deteriorated after 2 hours and forced the session to eventually finish
- Aim of session was to record baseline images on RR Lyrae (RR Lyrae type variable) and Delta Cepheid (Cepheid variable)
 - Opportunity was taken to record images of M56 and monitor AXP stars in Cassiopeia
- An attempt was made to make a mosaic over part of Hydaes cluster (Taurus), but was unsuccessful due to developing cloud.

AXP Monitoring (4U 0142+615 & 1E 2259+586)

Two Anomalous X-ray pulsers (AXPs),  4U 0142+615 and  1E 2259+586 (both lying in Cassiopeia) were checked for brightening. No indication of activity was observed for either AXP.
