Objects Session Notes
NGC 2770 - Spiral Galaxy & Supernovae 2007uy and 2008D FU Ori - FU Type Variable Astrometric & Photometric Monitoring
- SS Cyg, U Gem (dwarf nova)
- BL Lac (Blazar)
- U And, W And (Mira Variables)
- DY Per, ER UMa, KR Aur, SY Cnc, U Mon, RR Tau (variables)
- RX And, Z And, RZ LMi, FU Ori (variables)
- Late evening session (4.1hr). - CCD operation of -25 degC (at 61% average cooling). - main objectives were a) to acquire images of certain selected stars of ongoing photometric and astrometric analysis, in particular Z And & SS Cyg, and b) record follow-up images of 2 supernovae in NGC 2770. - polar misalignment issue introduced at the start of previous session is causing star trailing in exposures of 2-3 minutes. Cloud at the end of the session prevented a quantitative Star Drift examination of the polar misalignment
NGC 2770 (Lynx) with SN 2007uy and
2008D 2008D (Type 1c) was discovered
