Objects Session Notes
Jones 1 - Planetary Nebula (PK 104-29.1) NGC 1528 - Open Cluster (Herschel VII-61) Photometric Monitoring - Variables - RX And, U And, W And, Z And, R CrB, CI Cyg, S Cyg, SS Cyg, U Her, BL Lac, DY Per, GK Per, FG Sge, U Sge, V Sge Astrometric Monitoring - Nearby Stars - None
- Evening session (3.1 hrs duration).
Moderate conditions- Session operated under semi-automated control, with remote monitoring from indoors computer.
Second use of Power-Line networking (regular dropout of connection at 4 min 5sec intervals, reason unknown but resolved by setting Auto Reconnect On in the VNC viewer)- Ambient Temperature: 3.5°C (minimum)
Dew requiring corrector plate to be cleared with hair dyer on 2-3 occasions.- CCD operation -25°C (at 69% average cooling). - main objectives of the session were to acquire images of selected project stars for ongoing photometric and astrometric analysis, and to image a number of planetary nebula -
