Objects Session Notes
38P/Stephan-Oterma - Comet 46P/Wirtanen - Comet AT2018lcl - Extra-Galactic Nova in M31 - NGC 3254 with SN 2019np (T+11.1d) attempt failed (bright sky/poor sky transparency) Photometric Monitoring - Variables - RX And, U And, Z And, CI Cyg, S Cyg, SS Cyg, BL Lac, FU Ori, NV Ori,DY, DY Per, GK Per, V Sge, RR Tau, SU Tau
- AM CVn, SY Cnc, RZ LMi, U Mon, CN Ori & ER UMa attempts failed (high cloud /poor sky transparency)
Astrometric Monitoring - Nearby Stars - HH And, 61 Cyg, Groombridge 34, Teegardens Star
- LAMOST-HVS1 attempt failed (high cloud / poor sky transparency)
- Evening Night Session (6.2 hours duration) .
Session operated in fully automated mode, but monitored over remote connection, with interventions to insert 3 ToO targets and resolve a SBIG Camera disconnection
Sky quality poor with full moon and high clouds reducing sky transparency
- Main aim of the session was acquire images of a selection of nearby stars, variable stars and deep sky objects taking advantage of moderate weather conditions. Secondary aim was to test recent changes and additions to AstroMain program - 12" LX200 + ST-10XME for imaging - TS 80mm APO + ZWO ASI178MC for guiding & imaging - Ambient Temperature: -0.5°C (minimum) - CCD Temperature: -25°C (68% av. power) - Notes from 2019-01-20 >>
