- Evening / Night Session (6.4 hours duration) .
Session operated in fully automated mode, but monitored over remote connection.
- Main aim of the session was acquire images of a selection of nearby stars, variable stars and deep sky objects taking advantage of moderate weather conditions. Secondary aim was to test recent changes and additions to AstroMain program - 12" LX200 + ST-10XME for imaging - TS 80mm APO + ZWO ASI178MC for guiding & imaging - Ambient Temperature: -3°C (minimum) - CCD Temperature: -30°C (81% av. power) - Notes from 2019-01-28 >>

SN 2018kag (Hydra) SN2018kag (Supernova Type II), was discovered 2018/12/17.070 by All Sky Automated Survey for SuperNovae (ASAS-SN) in an anonymous galaxy in Hydra ( Rochester Site | Discovery Image ) In the Image below (2019-01-28.99), taken 42.9 days after discovery, the supernova is still just visible (indicated by white cross-hairs) |
