NGC 6741 (Aquila) Phantom Streak Nebula, PLN 33- 2.1 |
Annotated CCD Image (50% size, linear scale) 3 x 30s exposure (average combine), 3x3 binning, C Filter 2020-08-08 22:22 UT (#797003-06) 12" LX200R (at f/10.4) + ST-10XME Auto-guided using TS 80mm APO, ZWO ASI178MC & PHD2 |
NGC 6741 - Detail The object looks very stellar-like in the image below - it appears similar to the adjacent 'bright star', but may be slightly elongated, at least more than the other stars in the image which are subject to some poor RA tracking/guiding) |
CCD Image (150% size, linear scale, cropped) Image details as above |
NGC 6741 - Alternate Image The object looks to be less stellar-like in the square root scaled image below - it is larger in size and has lower 'surface brightness' than the adjacent 'bright' star |
CCD Image (150% size, linear scale, cropped) Image details as above |
NGC 6741 - through 'Star Analyser 100'diffraction grating The object's true identity of NGC 6741 object is shown in image below where its classic Pl.Neb spectrum allows it to be easily distinguished from the stellar spectrum of the adjacent 'bright' star (GSC 5128:756, mag +12.7) |
CCD Image (100% size, linear scale, rotated, cropped) 2 x 60s exposure (average combine), 2x2 binning, S Filter 2020-08-08 22:29 UT (#797010-11) 12" LX200R (at f/10.4) + ST-10XME Auto-guided using TS 80mm APO, ZWO ASI178MC & PHD2 |
CCD Image (100% size, linear scale, rotated cropped) Image details as above |
