AT 2026juw  - CV Type Transient

AT 2026juw (Cygnus)
AT 2026juw (Type: CV) discovered 2026-04-16.318 UT by GEOTS
Alias: GEOTS-Balaji-2026-005, IRAS 19523+4538
Discovery Magnitude 13.8 (Clear- Filter)
vs Prior Non-Detection Limiting Magnitude 18 (Clear- Filter)
Discovered in Cyg using 14" f/2.0 Astrograph at Golden Ears Observatory (MPC code U55).
Group reports the discovery of a variable star displaying significant variability,
characterized by periods of quiescence interspersed with episodic flaring activity.
The object has increased in brightness by approximately 1.8 magnitudes compared
to its last recorded observation on March 30, 2025. Period analysis of ZTF light curves
performed with Peranso suggests a periodicity of roughly 323 days.
