Main aims

1. Targets.  Acquire images of a selection of variable stars, nearby stars, comets & deep sky targets as allowed by sky conditions.

Highlights

• Targets. 11/34 planned targets observations were completed with 2 targets partially completed.  One target (M33 w/) was initially partially completed, but successfully completed as a follow-up ToO target.  2 other ToO targets (Mars & Jupiter) were also completed. Other planned targets failed due to cloud / session suspension.
•   Dome. There was no issues opening/closing the shutter during session. Dome closed and parked at end of session Ok

• AstroMain is raising a red alert each morning with the message "AllSky Star & Synopsis data has been inactive for more than 5 mins" (08:40).  Each morning around dawn (currently around 08:41 - 08:40) a red alert is being raised with the message "AllSky Star & Synopsis data has been inactive for more than 5 mins". These are followed moments later with the messages like "AllSky Star & Synopsis data is active again (outage 5.1 mins)".  Outage time is typically in the range 5.1 to 5.4 minutes.  This is typically due to the switch over between night time and day time handling in AstroAllSky (possibly between SunAlt -2 and SunAlt 0).  The outages at this time and the alerts cause no particular problem, but ideally red alerts should only be raised for an unexpected problem/outage and not for recurring events.

Continuous Improvement

• Modify AstroAllSky's NorthSky Keogram plotting to better match the width and position used by the NorthCam Keogram.   Increase the left hand margin width, and add left hand columns to match the time gap from SunAlt 0 to SunAlt Start (-2) at beginning of night and similarly add right hand columns for the time gap between SunAlt End (-2) and SunAlt 0 at end of night.  Stage 1 implemented 2024-01-04 (pm) in AstroAllSky 3.22.3,  LeftHandMargin increased from 25 to 30 pixels.
