Highlights

Targets. 29/34 planned targets were completed. Two targets failed due to Cloud / Too few stars (one of which was already acquired as a ToO target (T CrB) ), and 3 planned targets were displaced by ToO targets 4 ToO Targets were completed (240P/NEAT, 3I/ATLAS (x2) , T CrB)
Comets. Images acquired of 6 comets : 29P/Schwassmann-Wachmann, 240P/NEAT (ToO), 3I/ATLAS (ToO), C/2022 N2 (PANSTARRS), C/2025 K1 (ATLAS, C/2025 R2 (SWAN)
CCD Camera. There were no isues with the CCD Camera
Dome. No issues open/closing shutter. Dome was successfully parked at the end of the session

Issue using Peg.Server after restarting AllSky/Weather Computer. After restarting the AllSky/Weather Computer following Windows Update, a notification popped up with the message "Part of this app has been block. Some features of Peg.Server may not work because we can't confrm who publised Peg.Server.dll that the app tried to load" (see Fig 1). AstroObsCam couldn't work (due to absence of connection to the PegasusAstro USB Control Hub. A connection couldn't be made from AstroWeather, and PegasusAstro Unity UI couldn't connect to the USB Control Hub. The issue was fixed by ending the Peg.Server.exe task in TaskManager and restarting it from 'C:/Program Files (x86)/Pegasus Astro/Unity Platform/server' After this the USB Control Hub could be connected to ok. Its unclear if this is a one-off glitch and there will be an ongoing issue whenever Computer is restarted.

Small Defects

Process to redact 'Focuser1' events failed on both occasions that it should have operated (22:16, 02:16). A process was recently introduced to redact red Focuser1 events when the Focuser1 was quickly restored by a Focuser1 restart failed on both occassions during the session. Extra logging to show the execution path, hasn't operated. A post-session test showed that redact process worked during a 'enter event' / 'redact event' cycle, but also showed that trace logging wasn't working as designed. At the moment that red Focuser1 Event is generated 'Focuser1EventTime' is recorded and bFocuser1OutageReported is set to True. Examining code showed that the code section for redacting the Red Focuser1 event had incorrectly placed withn the wrong conditional branch. Fixed in AstroMain 3.79.9 the code section for redacting the Event is moved into a 'If bFocuser1OutageReported' conditional branch, from its former position in 'ElseIf bFocuser1OutageNoted' branch.

Clicking on 'Targets' or 'Open Target' doesn't bring destination window to front. Whilst clicking on buttons like 'Targets' or 'Open Target' shows the respective window ('Targets List' and 'Target' form respectively, it is not going to the necessary step of bring the respective window form to the front. Fixed in AstroPlan 1.45.4.

Red 'Focuser1' alerts (Focuser1 not accessible) were raised twice during the session (22:16, 02:16). Red 'Focuser1 alerts were raised at 22:16:40 and again at 02:16:41 with messages like "Focuser1 (TCF-LSI) not accessible (Last valid data at 22:16:19)". In both cases ObsManager watchdog recognised the issue and automatically restarted the Focuser1 Service. This is an ongoing issue that hasn't yet been resolved. In is of note that the two cases were separately by exactly 4 hours. This come of pattern has been seen before (when cases separately by exact even number of hours). Issue appears to have been resolved with changes to ObsManager loop in AstroMain 3.79.10 or 3.79.11, but the specific code change that fixed the issue is unclear.

Using 'Close C:\Data folders' button on AstroMove's Admin Tab causes Windows Explorer to restart. As a side effect of recent changes due not launch each explorer window as a separate task, there is a side effect which causes the parent Windows Explorer to end and restart , causing the Taskbar to being removed and redraw in the process. Fixed in AstroMove 1.17.4. Copilot used to avoid quiting the main Explorer shell by testing window handle against handle of ShellWindow and continue with next window using code:

Continuous Improvement

Rotate AllSky Flip Image so that Compass Directions match precisly with axis used on AstroPlan's SubmitToO Form. Currently the AllSky (EW) Flipped image is a created from AllSky Main image in AstroAllSky program, and is used in AstroPlan as an optional underlay to the AzAlt chart on the SubmitToO Form. Because the Oculus AllSky Camera is slightly misaligned to the compass direction by just ove 1°. This is not normally an issue, but the use the Flip Image in SubmitToO form highlights the difference. Modifying AstroAllSky to create a FLIP image rotated by the required 1.07° is too difficult to quickly implement due to the way that the AstroAllSky routines are written and the risk to annotation and image handling across the program. It is proposed to implement this in AstroPlan at that the FLIP images are imported and used.Implemented in AstroPlan 1.45.5 by the addition of line in DrawAllSkyUnderlay() routine to call new function RotateImageFixedCanvas() that was developed with assistance of CoPilot.

Add further features to AstroMain's new PageBuilder tool. PageBuilder is a new tool in AstroMain, that is intergrated into ImageSet Analysis for used for building a web page for the session being analysed. Proposed new features

Create a page showing Colour Keogram Plots showing nights with Aurora. Lining up centered Keogram plots would nicely illustrate the number of nights that Aurora have been detected. Even if the not all the nights have a dedicated Aurora Page created they will be at least some way of recording the nights with Aurora

Add Raw Rain value to AstroWeather's Rain Box Chart . Following changes to AstroWeather, AstroMain, AstroAllSky to automatically select raw rain values or apply a scale/shift correction, makes it unclear what mechanism is being used at any one time. It is proposed to make a modification to Rain Value (Box) plot 'vwsGraph21.jpg' to show the raw rain value on right handside of box plot and place in brackets.

Fig 1. Windows Notification annouching part of Peg.Server app was blocked.

After restarting the AllSky/Weather Computer following Windows Update, a notification popped up with the message annouched that part of the Peg.Server was blocked. AstroObsCam, AstroWeather, and PegasusAstro Unity UI couldn't connect to the USB Control Hub. Resolved by restarting "Peg.Server.exe"
