- Aurora display visible from NE Scotland on 2022-02-10 / 2022-02-11(am)  that was associated with a minor coronal mass ejection (CME) that hit the Earth's magnetic field 2022-02-09 @ 2100 UT but took some 24 hours to develop into a geomagnetic storm (seeming associated with the point that the Bz parameter swung south)

- Scandinavia magnetometers indicate activity from 16:00 UT to 04:00 UT with peak activity at around 21:00 to 22:00 UT.

- Activity was visible from my observatory site between 2022-02-10 23:10 UT (time of first clear sky view) and 2022-02-11 03:25 UT, with peak activity seen at between 02:08 & 02:25 UT (2022-02-11)
- Aurora arc at around 6 deg altitude at peak with rays to 10-15 deg altitude
- Display affected significantly by bright moonlight sky

- Probable activity earlier than 23:10 UT (2022-02-10) but it was hidden from view by a combination of distant cloud along northern horizon,  low cloud/snow shower (21:50-22:00) and afterwards by snow on the camera's perspex hemisphere (till it was noticed and removed at 23:10).

- It was during this time (22:18) that a nice colourfull display was seen by Alan Tough at Hopeman, Moray, some 50 miles to NW.
(see his photo on flicker incl. exif data)
(or his photo uploaded to SpaceWeather.com)

- Some shortlived weak activity was observed the previous night  some 4 hours after the CME hit the earth..

Snow left on AllSky Camera's perspex hemisphere following snow shower that passed through at 21:50-22:00 UT
This image taken at same time (22:18) that Alan Tough was taken photograph of aurora at Hopeman, Moray, 50 miles to NW
Possible indication of auroral light between the areas of snow (eg NNE) but hard to tell for sure.

Bright moon lit sky. Weak aurora arc (at 5 deg altitude) & aurora activity visible just above northern horizon.
(this image taken shortly after clearing snow from off the AllSky Camera at 23:10)
Light artifact in ENE direction from moonlight in camera.

Bright moonlit sky.  Rays and possble auroral curtains along northern horizon but diificult to see due to bright sky background.
Activity gradually decreased over next 40 minutes with last activiy at around 03:25 UT.
