Objects Session Notes
- Main objective of session were i) test a software bug fix associated with Locating and Positioning Targets near to the centre of the CCD frame (failures seen during image session 91, appears to be have been due to using a faster laptop, which is too quick in sending jog commands to the LX200 telescope) ii) to take B and V filter image pairs of HD 209458 - Opportunity was taken to take first time CCD images of M2, M72 and M73, and take improved CCD images of M10, M12 & M14 (mainly Globular Clusters) ( see Messier Objects) - A nice image of M16 was acquired, even though it was only at an altitude of 16 deg (3.5 airmasses) - Sky conditions rapidly deteriorated after 22:45h UT and prevented acquiring images of a couple of new Supernova - More Notes
