- All Night Session (2.3 hours total).
- Main aims of the session was to test new version of AstroMain (3.24.2) and acquire useful images if possible. - 12" LX200 + ST-10XME for imaging - TS 80mm APO + ZWO ASI178MC for guiding & imaging - Ambient Temperature: 10°C (min) - CCD Temperature: -10°/-15°C - Notes from 2020-05-30 >>
UGCA 342 (Canes Venatici) R Mag of UGCA 342 from Simbad +18.55 Alias: PGC 46093 (Catalog mag ?) Image gathered under twilight conditions , Sun Alt -10.5°. Limiting mag of image ~18.5. No sign of any object at UGCA 342 (PGC 46093) location marked by white circle Other galaxies in view however are : M63 (catalog mag +8.5), PGC 2189676 (catalog mag +17.3), PGC 2191787 (catalog mag +17.7) Target location needs to checked : Coordinates for UGCA 342 from Simbad are RA: 13 15 07.535 Dec: +42 00 11.23 (J2000) Coordinates of PGC 46093 from TheSky6 are RA: 13h 15m 08s Dec: +42°00'01" (J2000) Coordinates broadly match - the correct piece of sky has therefore been imaged. Target needs to rescheduled for much darker sky conditions. |
CCD Image (50% size, square root scale) 5 x 180s exposure (average combine), 3x3 binning, C Filter 2020-05-30 23:38 UT (#787008-12) 12" LX200R (at f/10.4) + ST-10XME Auto-guided using TS 80mm APO, ZWO ASI178MC & PHD2 |
